EARNSCLIFFE

For many years, “Earnscliffe” was the residence of Sir John A. Macdonald before his death in 1891.

Since the 1930’s, successive British High Commissioners to Canada have called it home.

Back in the 80’s, I knew some of the support staff who would put on some great entertaining in the High Commissioner’s absence. Great place for a party!!
