The Mitchell Bomber was the star of the Doolittle Raid over Tokyo. Although the Raid was but a military pin prick, it’s symbolic value in the aftermath of Pearl Harbour cannot be overestimated. Before the Raid, America was losing the war in the Pacific. After the Raid, it started winning!!

Walking around the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s B25 Mitchell Bomber at the recent Gatineau airshow, I noticed something oddly different about her overall appearance. And then it hit me!
