OK, it’s that time of year for a critical evaluation of personal growth over the past 12 months. Without a doubt, I believe the greatest progress that I have made has been in low light photography. Here I unabashedly give a shout-out to the great photoshop diva Katrin Eismann whose instruction both behind the camera and in front of the computer has taught me everything I know on the subject.
However reviewing my portfolio it is obvious that I didn’t shoot enough of these images and have therefore solemnly made a New Year’s resolution to do more of this in the future.
The following are sample images shot at precisely L’Heure Bleu, the time of day just before dark when the Rayleigh effect spreads a beautiful bluish hue through the firmament.
