And there&#8217;s not a mountain in sight!! Go figure!!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bilyreid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Moulin-a-Vent.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2056\" title=\"Moulin-a-Vent\" src=\"http:\/\/bilyreid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Moulin-a-Vent-300x205.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bilyreid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Moulin-a-Vent-300x205.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bilyreid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/Moulin-a-Vent-1024x700.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The historic windmill at <strong>Moulin-\u00e0-Vent<\/strong> in the Beaujolais.<\/p>\n<p>I shot this image in a High Dynamic Range technique using multiple exposures to pull out the detail in the shadows and highlights. That plus some other tricks hidden deep in the digital darkroom has allowed me to capture the mood of the setting as I experienced it on that glorious, never to be forgotten, fall day.<\/p>\n<p>By popular request, this image in a framed 19 x 13 inch poster size is already gracing several of my friends&#8217; walls.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bilyreid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/original-windmill.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2055\" title=\"original windmill\" src=\"http:\/\/bilyreid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/original-windmill-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bilyreid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/original-windmill-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bilyreid.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/original-windmill-1024x681.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This was all the camera was able to capture in a &#8220;one shot&#8221; image. Pretty flat, washed-out and lifeless. I just knew I could do something better with it and went with my instincts.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>D\u00e9j\u00e0 vu??<\/em><\/strong> No!!
