Our four day birding extravaganza across the length and breadth of southern Ontario was winding down. Traveling back towards eastern Ontario, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a revisit of Presqu’isle Provincial Park on Lake Ontario. Still not much happening there although we were able to salvage the situation with a couple of decent encounters.<\/p>\n

This specimen of a NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH was found in the Jobe’s Woods.<\/p>\n

WILSON’S WARBLER<\/p>\n

Sightings of the Wilson’s warbler have been few and far between generally this year, however we did find one out at the point near the lighthouse at Presqu’isle.<\/p>\n

CERULEAN WARBLER<\/p>\n

Final stop on the journey home is a drive down the Opinicon Road at Chaffey’s Lock for an encounter with a Cerulean warbler.<\/p>\n

Four days on the road and its good to be home. Often times it was tough sledding bird wise but nevertheless was able to acquire some decent images. Many thanks to good buddy Paul who kept his promise regarding the Prothonotary warbler!!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
