Pakenham is home to the longest stone arch bridge in North America. Today is one of the hottest days of the year….. a far cry from the day I shot the bridge in late winter a couple of years back. The bridge spans the Mississippi River……just not the one that Huck Finn would have been familiar with!!<\/p>\n

JAMES NAISMITH<\/p>\n Serendipity strikes again as I stumble upon the boyhood home of\u00a0 basketball inventor, Dr. James Naismith near Clayton, Ontario.<\/p>\n Sunday morning ramble in Eastern Ontario out towards the village of Pakenham finds me in search of the elusive Upland Sandpiper.
