<\/a><\/p>\nNORTHERN BOREAL OWL<\/strong><\/p>\n Thanks to a tip from my friend Mike, had the opportunity to recently\u00a0 photograph this cute little character. Typically Boreal owls are buried “in the weeds” so to speak, just like the one above. Thanks to a large telephoto lens and a steady tripod, I was able to pluck this image from the dark\u00a0 gloom of a late winter’s afternoon.<\/p>\n NORTHERN BOREAL OWL<\/strong><\/p>\n I was able to capture the above image several years ago. What made this such a remarkable photo op was the fact that the bird was uncharacteristically out in the open and was holding a vole in its claws. In print version, this image now graces at least 20 walls of friends and colleagues.<\/p>\n NORTHERN HAWK OWL<\/strong><\/p>\n Was fortunate to catch this guy “on the hop” so to speak.
