Quiet moment in Mount Street Park. Just a couple blocks from the Canadian High Commission in Grosvenor Square, scene of many a quiet, reflective lunch!!
Gardens of the Athenaeum Club, St. James’s.
Queen Elizabeth surveys The Mall. I once had the pleasure of being in the Queen Mom’s presence at the Gold Cup race in Cheltenham. She is sadly missed.
Barnardo’s Clock Tower, Barkingside. 2010 is the year of the “Home Child” in Canada. I’ve been privileged to have had an association with this particular location, the headquarters of the Barnardo foundation in Barkingside, for over 40 years.
Canadian War Memorial, Green Park, commemorating the thousands of Canadian service men and women who passed through Britain in defence of liberty during the two great conflicts of the last century. Thank you Conrad!
Piccadilly Circus at night.
The “Ten Bells” Pub, Commercial Street, Spitalsfield. Jack the Ripper stalked several of his victims from this pub. To cash in on the macabre history, it was renamed the “Jack the Ripper” pub quite a few years ago, but thankfully it has returned to the original appellation.
