Just returned from a fabulous week’s tour of the Yellowstone National Park in the American West. Sorry for being incommunicado put was unable to make posts from my traveling laptop. Feel free to check in over the next few days to see some of the landscape and wildlife images that I was extremely fortunate enough to capture. Late October/early November is definitely the time to go. The summer crowds are gone and the beautiful fall coats of the mammals blend in perfectly with the subdued yellow and tan fall colours of the landscape which was often sugar dusted with a light touch of snow. Most of the road system within the Park will shut down for the winter season in the next few days. As an example, the following image just screams “Yellowstone” in the late fall. (The rising mists, are from thermal springs……not morning fog!!)
